Don't just verbally approve. Write a one-page summary with the spec, your measurement, and the result. This protects you, your company, and creates a traceable record.
I use a simple format:
- Item Description / PO Number
- Sample Size / AQL Level
- List of CTQ Checks & Results (Pass/Fail per check)
- Overall Result: Accept / Reject / Conditional Accept
- Notes & Observations
